Take a Reiki Shower, start (or end) the day clean, physically and energetically

I don’t remember when I first read about or learned about taking a Reiki shower but it’s something that I now have incorporated into my Reiki life and do every morning.

And what a wonderful way to start the day.

I am a morning showerer, but many of you might be evening showerers. What a great way to end the day.

Or maybe you prefer a bath….. no problem, got ya covered.

While we are cleaning away the dust and dirt from the last 24 hours we can also wash away the energetic dust and dirt we accumulated, the worry, the stress, the anger and even other people’s energy that has attached to us.

Showering for me is like my morning prayers and it’s that few quiet moments when I think of all the things I am grateful for.

Here is how to create a Reiki Shower and Sacred space

Turn on the water and give a few minutes of Reiki to the shower head (if you are running a bath, send Reiki to the spout). I draw the symbols I am attuned to, however if you are Level 1 just let Reiki flow. The intention set here is that the water flowing from the shower head or spout now be filled with Reiki Energy. Envision white light filling the bathroom and it now becomes a sacred and healing space.

When you step into the shower stream (or the bath water) that is now full of Reiki energy, naked and fully exposed (nothing is hidden from creator) begin your prayers for the day.

Everyone prays differently so I am not going to go into much detail but it is during that time that I thank Creator for all that I have been blessed with, I thank my angels for their help the day before. I ask that all negative energy that no longer serves my highest purpose be washed down the drain where Mother Earth (Gaia) will cleanse and neutralize it. I also ask that all my energy, that I may have left behind, be returned to me.

I also set my intentions for the day and asked that Reiki be with me for the next 24 hours.

There is something very magical, uplifting, empowering and joyful about standing fully exposed in front of the creator while “yesterday” is being washed away. Everyday you start out spiritually and energetically cleansed.

Have a beautiful day.

Am I doing Reiki correctly?

Am I doing Reiki correctly?

Every time I teach Level 1 and Level 2 Reiki I think back on the time when I first became Reiki. I had a wonderful, loving and very thorough teacher. We went through the manual, basically the same one I use now which is from the International School of Reiki Training. We had plenty of practice of giving Reiki, we received Reiki and we learned and practiced self Reiki. After classes were over I found a Reiki buddy and we shared a session or two. I even went to Reiki Shares. But I still harbored doubts whether my Reiki was “working or not” and wondering if I was doing it correctly. Have you been there? Are you there now? It took me years to finally learn to trust that Reiki was working and that I was “doing it right” because I also learned that there is no wrong way to do Reiki. What I finally came to grip with, and what I want to share with you, is that Reiki is the one that is doing the “doing”. We are the human channel, the connection between source and our client. We are the human touch. So let me tell you…..There is no wrong way to do Reiki and YES you are doing it right because at least you are DOING IT!! ENTER THE EGO When we begin to doubt our gift it is our ego stepping in. Our ego is a loud creature and loves to fill us full of doubt. And it likes to mess with us.  The EGO I am talking about has the definition of “a person’s sense of self-esteem or self-importance.” It is our ego that tells us that our Reiki is not working, or that we aren’t doing it right or that we have no business doing it at all. And it comes flying in because we start telling ourselves that we are the ones that are doing the healing. I know, because I have been there, and still sometimes go there!!  Yeap, I will admit that. My silly ego still likes to mess with me a bit. REIKI IS DOING ALL THE WORK The thing to remember is that Reiki is the healer, Reiki is doing the Healing. We are just vessels, the channel for the energy. We need to step aside and let Reiki DO ITS THING. It does not matter if you forget to draw the symbols, or you mess up the symbols. It does not matter if you don’t do all the hand positions, in fact, its better if you let Reiki guide your hand placements. So start using your Reiki. Place your Reiki charged hands on yourself, your food, your dog, your crystals, your water. Shine those hands at your shower head for a lovely Reiki filled shower.  Send Reiki to your garden, the animals in the forest, your job.  When someone asks for prayers, send them Reiki Charged Prayers. You have asked for, and recieved, an amazing gift from the Divine, from Creator, from God. Use it and watch your life change.

Facing Illness? Be Empowered. Self-Reiki as a compliment to medical treatment

Facing Illness? Be Empowered. Self-Reiki as a compliment to medical treatment

When we are facing illness, or a loved one is facing illness, it feels like things are no longer in our control, we lose some of our power. Our lives are taken over by doctor visits, sitting in pharmacies, stressfully waiting for phone calls, spending hours in treatment or therapy, laying in bed. We are often overwhelmed and scared. We hurt, we don’t feel good and we feel totally out of control of our lives.

One amazing benefit of Reiki is being able to give yourself Reiki. Self-Reiki is powerful and something you can do anytime the mood strikes you. You can self-reiki when you are waiting in the doctors office, the pharmacy, even when receiving treatments.

Reiki is a wonderful compliment to traditional medicine because it not only helps you be calm and be able to cope with your situation but it raises the vibrational frequencies within your body which aids healing. Reiki works with, not against or even instead of, your current treatment plan. Of course you must always follow your doctors orders because they are working towards healing on the physical level while Reiki is working on the energetic level. Together they can be quite powerful.

Giving yourself reiki is very easy and you have the capability to do this with Level 1, the first degree, Reiki.

You can do a full treatment on yourself by using traditional hand placements. Place some relaxing music on and reiki away. It’s peaceful, renewing and calming. This does take some time and if you have the time I do recommend it. Spend extra time over the diseased  area.

If you don’t have the time for an entire treatment, just place your hands somewhere comfortable on your body. If you are out in public that may be just resting on your thighs! Ask Reiki to flow. It’s as simple as that.

When we are ill we are often in a state of fear. Fear is a low vibration and will keep your body in a low vibration state. Hard as it may seem it’s important to release that fear. Visualize yourself as healthy. Visualization and intention will draw good health towards you since the universe wants to give you what you desire.

When we are fearful we tend to think in terms of worse case scenarios. As we dwell on the fear that is what the universe will try to provide, the worse case. As you self reiki envision yourself as happy, whole and healthy. See and feel yourself in this way. When you begin to be fearful place your hands over your heart, start the flow of reiki and envision positive outcomes.

If you want to be well, make a definitive decision to be so. Make it your choice to heal. Come back into your personal power.

In order to do self-reiki, Reiki needs to be placed within your energetic body through the assistance of a Reiki Master/Teacher through a process called  Attunement or Placement. Once it is installed you are free to call upon it anytime you need.  Learning to use it is simple. Check my calendar for class dates and allow this beautiful energy to assist you in your healing process.

If you need Reiki I do one hour sessions as well.

Best Sedona trip ever!

Best Sedona trip ever!

Beautiful scenary in Sedona AZ

Breathless scenery

Today is day three, the last day, of my Holy Fire Reiki Master Teacher training and it has been a blissful, joyful time. I am in Sedona AZ, a place of high vibration, with my dear friend Kate Cook of Yuma AZ. We chose to take this path together, this trip to Sedona  to become Holy Fire Reiki Master Teachers. It will forever tie us together.

We arrived in Sedona last Friday, May 20th. Well, actually we arrived in Cottonwood AZ on Friday! Cottonwood is a small town about 1/2 drive from Sedona and 10 times cheaper! Our hotel room, at the Iron Horse Hotel in old town Cottonwood is small but clean and recently refurbished so adorable. I mentioned small…. Yes, it’s teeny, with two twin beds and barely enough room to walk around but it’s been filled with laughter and giggles and serious life changing discussions!

Saturday was our tourist day, the day we roamed touristy type shops, ate over priced meals, bought a whole bunch of crystals and other stuff and had our auras photographed at Crystal Gratitude. Both Kate and I are “Blue Aura” personalities. I will try to write more on that later. After our final Holy Fire Placement our auras will be rephotographed for changes. That will be cool.

Reiki Teachers

Kate and I with our teachers, Michael Baird and Laurelle Gaia

As the day dawned for our first day of class we were excited and nervous. The day was beautiful, the drive into Sedona awe inspiring. Our class was being held at the Peace Place. The store at Peace Place was filled with wonderful, beautiful crystals and jewelry, posters, musical instruments and warm feelings. The grounds had huge Quartz crystal clusters all over the place just wanting to be touched and admired.  Kate and I, wanting something special to remind us of this trip both bought garnet bead necklaces for grounding. IMG_20160524_091659765The classroom was warm and welcoming, filled with crystal clusters, spiritual statues and Reiki infused artwork. We were delighted to learn that Michael Baird would be teaching the class with Laurelle Gaia auditing. This is important to note because Laurelle is recovering from an aneurysm infused stroke that put her into a coma for three days. We were delighted to see her in the classroom and share her special insights and wisdom with us.

Peace Place, Sedona AZ

Kate and I at the Peace Place in Sedona

As our class began it did not take us long to realize that “things have changed”. Holy Fire Reiki had evolved. We were being taught and given Holy Fire II, a second revision of HF. No longer are there “attunements” by the Reiki Master but the energy and symbols are placed within us by the energy itself. It is now called “placements”. We were a bit shocked, stunned and maybe a little disappointed but as the day progressed and our learning continued I realized the beauty and brilliance in this. The Masters ego was no longer a factor. They are now the facilitators of learning and a guiding presence in our Reiki lives. During a placement the Reiki Master/Teacher steps aside and allows the Holy Fire Energy to enter the recipient the way the recipient needs it. There is no longer the fear within the master teacher and the student that it was done right. There is no longer lineage since the energy comes directly from God.

How beautiful is that.

Also part of Holy Fire Reiki are  “experiences”, a master facilitated meditative time when the energy guides you. And ignitions, when the Holy Fire is ignited within us.

I look forward to working more with the Holy Fire Energy. I am changed a little. I can tell. Hopefully I can continue to grow and change as well as help others in a healing manner. It is also my desire to teach and share Reiki so that others can have this amazing gift from Heaven in their lives.

Love and light.

A Dream come true

A Dream come true

If you had asked me last year if I would be going to Sedona for Holy Fire Reiki, I would have said “No, I have no plans, but oh wouldn’t that be awesome.”

I was practicing Reiki steadily and knew that this was a path I needed to stay on. When I came to this conclusion I knew that the next step would be to become Reiki Master. Becoming a Reiki Master was not necessary for me to help and heal myself and others but to me it would feel like completing my education, taking it to completion.

I was having a difficult time finding a Reiki Master to attune me to the master level, which I wanted to do very badly.  I searched for a Reiki Master and in July 2015 found one who did the attunement however there was no education, no mentoring. I was quite disappointed. Yes, I now had a certificate and I could call myself a Reiki Master but I sure didn’t feel like one.

So I kept looking.

Kate and Dani in SedonaIn January my Reiki friend Kate Cook and I made a desire to go to Sedona to be taught and to become Reiki Master Teachers. We looked on the internet and saw that Michael Baird and Laurelle Gaia would be holding a class at the Peace Place in Sedona in May. It was expensive but we both knew it was time, we had to do it.  Kate put together a manifestation “intention” flier so the universe would know we were serious.

And we made reservations, not sure how we could pull it off but we would let the universe worry about that.

For me, going to Sedona, and being taught by these two amazing people would be the ultimate experience.  The ART/Master Class was three full days, not 4 hours like my other Master class. THREE WHOLE DAYS!!!  Wow…. I knew it would be special, and it was.

We held the dream in our hearts and it happened!

Sedona 2016On May 20th Kate and I arrived in Cottonwood Arizona, just 1/2 hour drive from Sedona. Kate had booked us into a small but adorable hotel room in old town Cottonwood. The room was smaller then a dorm, with two twin beds and a bathroom too small to turn around. But that was part of the adventure!

Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park

Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park

While in Sedona Kate and I shared many laughs, some great food and some bad food, we scoured the shops for amazing crystals, bought matching Garnet Bead necklaces, sat quietly in class and sometimes not so quietly.

We walked and meditated in the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park.

And we visited the Vortex at the Airport.

So I had a dream, and Kate had a dream. We wanted to expand our Reiki practices and become Holy Fire Reiki Masters. Our dream took us to Sedona AZ for an awe inspiring, spirit driven, giggle focused, love filled week.

Never give up on your dreams. They can come true.
