Description
So many colors, so little time!!! This lovely pendant has a multitude of colors are mixing, and mashing together
The focal piece of this necklace is a copper disc that has been torch-fired enameled with bright beautiful colors that were pushed and shoved around while molten hot to create a plethora of colors
The finished disc was then wrapped in various sizes of copper wire, weaved and curled to create a beautiful pattern. A patina was then applied to darken and antique the copper and bring out all the twist and turns of the wire work. No glue was used in the making of this necklace!!
The pendant comes on a 20″ copper handmade chain and is fastened using a simple “J” hook. Extra Large links were placed on the chain so you can adjust it to make it smaller
The pendant is 2 1/4″.
Torch Fired enameling uses glass powder which is applied to a copper blank and fired until everything melts using a torch. Its an amazing, fun process which i am just learning!
Copper will continue to patina. I ship my copper pieces in a black jewelry bag and supply a jewelry polishing cloth for a quick polish before wearing. If a deeper cleaning is needed, copper or jewelry cleaner will do the trick!
