This necklace is sure to catch the eye of anyone who love color, especially oranges and Yellows like me. In my experimenting with various torch firing enameling techniques I came up with this quirky and colorful pendant.
Torch Fired enameling uses glass powder which is applied to a copper blank and fired until everything melts using a torch. Its an amazing, fun process which i am just learning!
I wrapped the finished disc in various sizes of copper wire. A patina was then applied to darken and antique the copper and bring out all the twist and turns of the wire work. No glue was used in the making of this necklace!!
The pendant comes on a 20″ copper handmade chain.and is fastened using a simple “J” hook. The links of the chain are big enough that you can adjust the length of the necklace to suit your outfit.
The pendant is 2 1/2″.
Copper will continue to patina. I ship my copper pieces in a black jewelry bag and supply a jewelry polishing cloth for a quick polish before wearing. If a deeper cleaning is needed, copper or jewelry cleaner will do the trick!
