Soft colors in Lavender, Blue, Orange, White and Beige.
The focal piece of this necklace is a copper disc that has been torch-fired enameled with several different colors that blend or stand well on their own for a unique look.
The finished disc was then wrapped in various sizes of copper wire, weaved and curled to create a beautiful pattern. A patina was then applied to darken and antique the copper and bring out all the twist and turns of the wire work. No glue was used in the making of this necklace!!
The pendant comes on a 20″ copper handmade chain and is fastened using a simple “J” hook. The links of the chain are big enough to allow adjustment of the length to suit your look.
The pendant is 2 1/2″.
Torch Fired enameling uses glass powder which is applied to a copper blank and fired until everything melts using a torch. Its an amazing, fun process which i am just learning!
Copper will continue to patina. I ship my copper pieces in a black jewelry bag and supply a jewelry polishing cloth for a quick polish before wearing. If a deeper cleaning is needed, copper or jewelry cleaner will do the trick!
