Just when you think “I got this” the universe steps in and continues to teach you lessons. I am on my last full day of a long  2 1/2 week vacation.

There were two special events that this trip encompassed, a Reiki Retreat in Sedona Az and the wedding of my Nephew in Central California.

The retreat that I went with friend and Reiki Master Kate Cook from Kate’s Reiki Essential, was absolutely amazing. Was it the highlight of my year? No, because my life is full of amazing moments but it was up there in the top 5!  We learned more wonderful Reiki Techniques, bonded closer as friends, made new friends, ate healthy and healed.

It was hard to return to everyday life after such a spiritual, loving time but we did it.

The rest of the trip was filled with more family and friends. I got to see beloved family members that I hadn’t seen in years who filled my belly with home cooked meals and filled my heart with love.

Family is so important. We are blood. We don’t often agree, sometimes we don’t even like each other but we are still blood. Many years ago we had some ugliness in the family, nasty words were spoken, anger was felt towards me. It was a difficult time in my life but somehow my heart was soften, I forgave and with that all the past ugliness was forgotten. That made my soul happy.

Forgiveness is so necessary for a clear heart.

The biggest lesson I learned was that I was happy. I may not have a fancy house, I may not have a lot of money, I may not have a fancy ride but I have a life. I have a passion. I have a supportive husband, I have Reiki, I have pottery.

I have peace and that is all I need.

Tomorrow I board a plane for my journey home and I am excited.

I love my life.
